Growers gathering this Sunday

Hello dear Growers,

This is a reminder that our next gathering is on this Sunday
for either afternoon tea, or pre-Christmas, pre-dinner drinks - which ever you prefer!

It's at Clare and Mark's new garden:

at 4pm
Sunday 16th December
12 Paget Street
South Hobart

(please park your car in Drummond, Anglesea or Macquarie Street, not in Downie or Paget Streets)

Clare is eager for our ideas about what to do with the new garden. Bring afternoon tea, or drinks and nibbles, and as usual bring any extra garden things that you want to swap or share. Most importantly, bring your self and your interest, and your Solstice and pre-Christmas cheer :)

Millie Ross from Gardening Australia is looking for gardens and interesting gardeners - we have plenty of them!! You are welcome to contact her directly, or me if you'd like help to send her photos etc:
I am interested in making contact about interesting characters and gardens in Hobart & surrounds that would be suited to the Gardening Australia program.  Would love to have a chat about initiatives & projects when you get a chance.  Ideally if people are keen to submit their garden, it is good to email through a handful of garden pics (current wide shots to give us a feel for the place) and then follow up with a chat.
Please feel free to pass around my contact details

AND we have a request from Emma:
My garden is getting out of control as a result of me only having limited time to do anything in it in this very good growing season. I am looking for someone reliable  to do some casual work, weeding and mulching both raspberries and ornamental beds and maybe setting up a watering system. If anyone in the growers group knows someone  who could do this and is not flat out at the moment, I would be grateful for contact details.

I would also love to find someone with the skills to do some paving for me - the catch is I have a couple of different sorts of second hand pavers from the tip shop to do the job - a skilled amateur used to making do would be ideal.

I'm best able to be contacted via email

I look forward to celebrating with you on Sunday. Come along to the gathering!! Our next one will probably be on January 20th - do let me know if you'd like to host us then, or on the third Sunday in any month!

With warm regards,
