The Adopt a Waterway grant is sponsoring 10 adults to attend next Saturdays HCC's bush adventures session along the rivulet.  Get in quick to secure a place for free by contacting deb@southhobart.org.

This is especially relevant to those residents living adjacent to the Hobart Rivulet or its tributaries (see free plants below)...

Weeds: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly – Sat 24 Nov, 11am-1pm - starts at Woman's Factory Degraves street

What plant was the official poison of ancient Athens, it’s most famous victim being Socrates? Which plants do bandicoots and pademelons often shelter in around urban Hobart? How far can a gorse seed  be thrown when the seed pod bursts open? What Aussie plants are serious weeds in other parts of the world? Join Hobart City Council’s Adam Muyt in a cultural, historical and environmental look at the weeds found growing along the Hobart Rivulet.
