South Hobart Community Garden
Our community garden
The South Hobart community garden sprouted in 2013 and is at 106 Cascade Road (at the top of the carpark opposite the Southern Tasmanian Badminton Association). Everyone is welcome. We hold a monthly working bee, typically on the second Saturday of the month, from 2-4pm (except where it falls on a long weekend, then it falls on the third Saturday).

All our individual garden plots are fully subscribed, and there is a waitlist. If you would like to join the waitlist, or be updated regarding garden working bees and other events please email communitygarden@southhobart.org. Find out more about our tiny membership fees

Thank you
We couldn't have created our wonderful community garden without the support of the Hobart City Council and through grant funding from the Tasmanian Climate Change Office and the 2A4 grants. We also want to say thanks to Chandlers Nursery, the Resource Work Cooperative and our local gardeners who come and plant, weed, weave, dig, chat and create beauty.
